Memories Unfading
Many a times is my encephalon punished
To memory of the past!
The sweet sweet past
Of sunshine in Lugazi
Clouds with the rainbow
Green, blue, pink, red, indigo;
Oh what a memory to banish!
Time made stranger
And yet in this state
I sit down to ponder
Only to draw a past close
I can not touch.
Oh memory do be gentle
For I long for thee.
My search ceaseless
And yet my find empty!
All I have is but a vision:
Of her dancing in glow of perspective
Cloud like the sea,
sun like glitter:
And a heart to ache upon it
This smile so wide
Am but crestfallen to think
Of memories unfading
